Overview
Trace Exchange is built using progressive web app (PWA) technology which provides flexibility to users to access Trace Exchange on their mobile device via web browser or by adding it to their device home screen like a traditional mobile app.
For users who want/need to have Trace Exchange directly accessible from their mobile device home screen (such as users recording Shipping or Receiving events in real time on the shipping or receiving dock), follow the instructions below based on which type of mobile device and web browser are being used to install the Trace Exchange PWA to your device home screen.
iOS / Safari
- On your mobile device, open the Safari web browser and navigate to https://traceexchange.ifoodds.com/ (sign in if needed).
- Click the Share icon at the bottom of the screen.
- In the menu that pops up, scroll down until you see the Add to Home Screen option and click it.
- Click the Add button.
- The Trace Exchange App will now appear on your device home screen.
iOS / Chrome
- On your mobile device, open the Chrome web browser and navigate to https://traceexchange.ifoodds.com/ (sign in if needed).
- Click the Share icon in the web address bar.
- In the menu that pops up, scroll down until you see the Add to Home Screen option and click it.
- Click the Add button.
- The Trace Exchange App will now appear on your device home screen.
Android / Chrome
- On your mobile device, open the Chrome web browser and navigate to https://traceexchange.ifoodds.com/ (sign in if needed).
- Click the More icon at the top right of the screen.
- In the menu that pops up, click the Add to Home Screen option.
- Click the Install button to confirm.
- The Trace Exchange App will now appear on your device home screen.
