If you have an iFoodDS Trace Exchange account, you can add your GS1 Company Prefix to your account.
In your Trace Exchange account, users with the Company Admin role can access the Admin Section and add up to 20 GS1 Company Prefixes to your account.

A GS1 company prefix is used to create your GTINs and GLNs that can be used in your master product and master location data.

How to add a company prefix
- Log into your iFoodDS account with Company Admin user role
- Go to Admin Panel
- Go to the Company section
- Click on Edit Account button (screenshot below)
- The GS1 Company Prefix section becomes active for editing (screenshot below)
- Click on add GS1 Company Prefix. This opens up a red box for you to type in your GS1 Company Prefix. (screenshot below)
- Type in your GS1 Company Prefix. Click the green Save button when done
(screenshot below) - A notification will appear, confirming that the GS1 Company Prefix was successfully added (screenshot below)
How to delete a GS1 Company prefix
- Log into your iFoodDS account with Company Admin user role
- Go to Admin Panel
- Go to the Company section
- Click on Edit Account button (screenshot below)
- Click the icon of the circle with x next to the GS1 Company Prefix you wish to delete (screenshot below)
- The GS1 Company Prefix is removed. Click green save button (screenshot below)
- Upon clicking the green Save button, a confirmation popup is shown. Click the green Confirm button in the popup to process the removal of the GS1 Company Prefix from your account. (screenshot below)
. - A notification will appear, confirming the GS1 Company Prefix deletion. (screenshot below)
Validation of GS1 Company Prefix
- There is validation to see if the GS1 Company Prefix is already associated with the account
- There is no validation to see if the GS1 Company Prefix is already associated with another account
- The GS1 Company Prefix field will only accept numeric values
Errors when adding a GS1 Company Prefix
You will receive an error for the following:
- If you try to add a GS1 Company Prefix that already exists on the account.
- If you try to add more than 20 GS1 Company Prefixes to an account.
